My stay at the Hyatt Regency Cape Town was enjoyable overall. The views from my room were stunning, overlooking Table Mountain and the colorful Cape Malay district. The staff were incredibly friendly, which added warmth to my experience. However, the dining options were somewhat limited, especially with alcohol restrictions in the restaurant.

Rooms
8.0
The room was spacious and comfortable, but some aspects looked a little tired. I appreciated the beautiful views, especially from the eighth floor. It also had useful amenities like UK and USB sockets.
Service
9.0
The staff truly made the difference. From the moment I checked in, they were attentive and cheerful. However, there was a hiccup regarding my payment that needed clarification.
Location
9.0
The hotel's central location is fantastic for exploring Cape Town. It's conveniently close to the V&A Waterfront and surrounded by the vibrant Muslim quarter, which adds to the cultural experience.
Dining
7.0
Breakfast was a highlight, with plenty of options to choose from. However, dining in the main restaurant was frustrating due to the strict halal policy and lack of alcohol service.
Facilities
7.0
The small pool area was nice for a quick dip, but it didn't quite match the overall quality of the hotel. Additionally, I found room service a bit inconvenient compared to other hotels I've stayed at.

My stay at Hyatt Regency Cape Town was quite enjoyable, but it wasn't without its hiccups. The location is fantastic, allowing easy access to attractions, though it's a bit challenging without a car. The room was comfortable and well-maintained, but I did face some issues with room service that left me wanting more. Overall, the friendly staff and great amenities made my experience nice, but certain aspects could use improvement.

Rooms
7.0
The King Room I stayed in was spacious and offered stunning views of the Bo-Kaap. However, I encountered some problems such as the hand washing tap being loose and the hairdryer not working, which detracted from an otherwise nice stay.
Service
6.0
The service was generally helpful and friendly, especially at the reception where staff took my bags and showed me to the executive lounge while I waited for my room. However, the room service was a letdown; it took far too long to receive average-quality food.
Location
7.0
The hotel is centrally located, which is great for exploring the city, but I found it necessary to have a car for easy transportation. There were also dining restrictions that were not communicated well, which was disappointing.
Dining
6.0
While the dining options were varied, I found the meal prices to be on the higher side for what was offered. Breakfast was quite good, but I think there needed to be more attention on the menu choices.
Facilities
7.0
The hotel offered a range of facilities including a great pool area with lovely views, though I think improvements such as better seating and drink menu availability could enhance the experience.

7.0/10

My stay at Hyatt Regency Cape Town had its ups and downs. The location is excellent, being close to restaurants and attractions like the V&A Waterfront. However, the room service menu lacked variety and the restaurant experience was disappointing. While the staff were friendly and helpful, the sporadic power outages due to load shedding were frustrating, especially since my room lost power during one of my hair washing sessions.

Rooms
8.0
The room was lovely and comfortable, featuring a great bath and shower. However, the flush was problematic and the lighting was not ideal for makeup application.
Service
9.0
Throughout my stay, the staff were engaging and went out of their way to assist, particularly Giovanni, who provided excellent service at the pool deck.
Location
9.0
The hotel's location is perfect, within walking distance to the vibrant Bo-Kaap area and various eateries, making it ideal for exploration.
Dining
6.0
While the food was generally delicious, I found the dining experience lacking due to the limited variety on the room service menu and some disappointing moments at the restaurant.
Facilities
7.0
The pool and fitness facilities were well-maintained, though I was hoping for a bit more in terms of gym equipment variety.

I had a generally pleasant stay at the Hyatt Regency Cape Town. The location is fantastic, allowing easy access to shops and restaurants. The rooms were clean and comfortable, featuring good views. However, my experience was marred by a slow check-in process and some issues with room service. Overall, it was a solid choice for business travel, but there's room for improvement in service.

Rooms

I enjoyed a spacious King Room that was clean and comfortable, but it lacked some expected amenities like hair conditioner and bathrobes. The room provided nice city views, which was a highlight.
Service
6.0
The reception staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, which made a difference. Unfortunately, my check-in took too long, and there were issues with room service that went unresolved promptly.
Location
9.0
The hotel is centrally located, making it easy to explore the city. I appreciated the proximity to local shops and restaurants, which enhanced my overall experience.
Dining
6.0
Dining options were decent but not really good. The buffet breakfast was standard, and I found room service subpar with stale food. However, the coffee stand in the restaurant was a nice touch.
Facilities
7.0
The facilities included a small but modern gym and a lovely Executive Lounge. While I didn't use the pool much, the lounge was a great spot to unwind. Still, the gym could use more equipment.

My stay at Hyatt Regency Cape Town had some highs and lows. The views from the upper rooms of Table Mountain were amazing. However, the hotel itself felt a bit dated and cluttered upon arrival. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making the experience enjoyable despite a few drawbacks.

Rooms
8.0
The King Room I stayed in was spacious and clean, with a comfortable bed. I appreciated the ample wardrobe space and good amenities provided. However, I did notice some noise from the lower floors, which could be an issue for light sleepers.
Service
10.0
The staff here were exceptionally friendly and helpful, notably Kay-Kay and Jordan who made me feel very welcome. They went above and beyond to accommodate my needs, which really stood out during my stay.
Location
7.0
The hotel's location was convenient for exploring the vibrant Bo-Kaap area, and it provided a good access point to central Cape Town attractions. It took about 20 minutes to walk to the V&A Waterfront, which was manageable but felt a bit longer at times.
Dining
7.0
Breakfast in the main room offered a great selection, although I was disappointed that the club lounge didn't serve breakfast. The dining options were of high quality but a bit limited, making me hope for a wider variety.
Facilities
8.0
The pool area was nice but could benefit from some enhancements. Room service was convenient, and I appreciated the available shuttle service for easy access to nearby sites.
